Theatre of the mind; the world of self-inflicted barriers and illusions, subjective falsification of memory from which the natural progression arises:

          OPPRESSION –SUPPRESSION - EXPRESSION

The looped knot metaphorically depicts the mind; a tied tasseled Agemaki cord was used to prevent the jingling of the back ring on a samurai Hachi helmet bowl.
